Polished Paver Driveway
A plain slab drive turned into a finished front-yard feature, with proper drainage channels and paver entry steps carrying the detail up to the door.
How this project came together
The design decision
We rebuilt the slab drive as a front-yard feature, taking interlocking pavers from the street through to the entry steps so the arrival is one continuous surface.
The build
A linear drainage channel is set into the sloped paving to take the runoff, which is the part people forget about until the first hard rain. Drought-tolerant planting, agave among it, lines the borders. Paver curb detailing finishes the edge against the street.
