Pacific Outdoor Living is very professional without losing that personalized touch! Our yards were not that big but they treated us like million dollar customers! From the first time I called til the day they packed and left, it was all seamless and stress free. The yards look great and neighbors are envious! Specially mention to Jose, Onesimo and his crew! They were friendly, efficient and overall awesome! We hope we have more patios that need work! Thank you Pacific Outdoor Living!

Pacific Outdoor Living gets a 5 star review because of their outstanding customer service and job performance. We recently renovated our backyard with an in-ground pool and outdoor space. The job took no more than two and a half months to complete. Samantha the designer, worked with us to sketch exactly what we wanted and provided us with a 3D model of how our backyard would look like. It came out exactly what was sketched. Trent, the owner of Pacific Outdoor Living, was very involved in the project himself. He showed up many times throughout our construction just to make sure that everything was running as planned. Our project manager, Khalil, was fabulous! From start to finish, Khalil was on top of it. We felt like we were in good hands with Khalil. They definitely live up to their high standards of quality and service.

Our backyard transformation into a tiki oasis by Pacific Outdoor Living was nothing short of extraordinary! Julian Montford's design expertise and Trent Morrill's impeccable coordination made this project an absolute pleasure from start to finish. The 500 square foot pavilion and tiki hut added an enchanting touch, while the refurbished built-in pool became the centerpiece of our newfound paradise. The attention to detail was impeccable, and the craftsmanship truly exceeded our expectations. Despite the 12-month design and 6-month build timeline, every moment was worth it. Our backyard is now our favorite destination, and we owe it all to Pacific Outdoor Living. Highly recommend them for anyone dreaming of their own slice of tropical bliss!

We worked with Pacific Outdoor Living to design my backyard, and I'm thrilled with the outcome. The process was simple and professional. Though I didn't use their construction services, I purchased the design, which carefully considered all the existing elements like our mature trees and pool, seamlessly integrating them into a cohesive plan. They truly captured our vision, resulting in a design that exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend their design expertise for anyone looking to transform their outdoor space!

Step 1 of 5

Base Plan

Mapping the site before design began

The base plan outlined the property's layout, highlighting the home's footprint, open lawn, driveway, and mature trees. It also mapped out key utilities and the unique L-shaped configuration of the lot. This detailed groundwork helped the design team plan dedicated zones for the pool, outdoor kitchen, and entertainment spaces, setting the stage for a smooth transformation.

Deliverable

Property layout documentation, utility mapping, and lot configuration analysis

Why it matters: A precise base plan keeps every later design decision grounded in the property's real conditions.

Questions Homeowners Ask Before We Begin

The first step is to get in touch with one of our appointment specialists who can help get you set up and propose the right steps to take. You can do this by either filling out an estimate request form at the bottom of this page, or by calling us at: (818)275-8271. The next step will be a site analysis. A specialist will come to your home to measure your property, then return to our office to create a CAD drawing. The cost for this typically ranges from $600 to $800. Exceptions may apply, but the Call Center Specialist will review them with you. We would then have you come into the office and meet one of our talented designers who will do a rough sketch and give a sense of what the project may actually cost as well as what design fee would apply to complete a full plan.

Yes! Well, everything outdoors, that is. We offer just about any outdoor landscape and hardscape service you can think of, including custom pools, pool remodeling, stylized landscaping, patios, driveways, ponds, outdoor fireplaces, custom masonry, custom carpentry, irrigation, outdoor lighting and more!

You can always get your own permits but we typically pull all permits needed for your job. We have our own in-house permitting department. No need to take time off work to wait in any long lines or deal with confusing guidelines.

Our warranty varies based on the type of work but is consistent with industry standards. When you meet one of our designers, they can walk you through it or call for more information.

We are VERY unique in the Design/Build world. Very few companies have their own in-house crews, specially trained for every trade involved with building your project. This means there will be a different crew handling demolition, landscape, pavers, etc. on your job, and not the same one doing it all. Each crew is supervised by an on-site supervisor so your project goes smoothly. To top it off, we usually work six days a week until your project is complete.

Depending on the size and scope of the job, a landscape design will most likely be needed. Our designers can create one which is then yours to use, should you wish to get other bids for your job.

A custom design varies anywhere from $300 to $1850. We leave the amount up to the designer depending on how much work is involved. The design fee covers site measurements, an illustrated design, a 3-D design and revisions as needed.

We service Los Angeles and the surrounding areas, from Calabasas and Woodland Hills to Glendale and Pasadena, and everything in between. Check out our service areas here.

Yes, our minimum for projects is usually $7,500. There are times and circumstances where the minimum is waived for past customers.

The landscape design process varies depending on the size of project, revisions and discussions needed along the way. We pride ourselves on making the design process as painless as possible. Your award-winning designer will work tirelessly until you’re 100% satisfied before starting. Generally it takes 2 to 5 weeks for completing the average design.

This can vary as well, depending on the size of the job, permits needed and many other factors. Very small jobs can be wrapped up in a week. Large projects can sometimes take 3-6 months. Your designer and job supervisor can give you a more exact timeline once your design is complete.

No, Pacific Outdoor Living does not offer landscape maintenance services, however we’re happy to recommend trusted local companies specifically tailored to your home’s needs.

We usually include a 4-week monitoring period, where a landscape tech will check timer settings and make sure plants are doing well. All our plants are covered by a limited warranty which covers replacements and service.
