A cramped, sloped approach re-engineered with an interlocking paver drive, a side-yard access lane and a retaining wall that finally holds the grade.
How this project came together
The design decision
We re-engineered the sloped, cramped approach as an interlocking paver driveway with a side-yard access lane, which gives the property a second usable route in and out.
The build
The paving carries through to a patio at the rear, and a retaining wall holds the grade along the drive. Paver walkways and front entry steps tie the approach together, and we held the interlocking pattern throughout so the extension doesn't look bolted on.
